Why we built BestQR

QR codes are everywhere — on menus, business cards, posters, packaging and WiFi labels. Yet making a good one usually meant wrestling with cluttered tools that locked the best features behind a paywall, or worse, made your codes expire unless you kept paying.

We believe the basics should be free and permanent. A QR code you generate today should still work in ten years, whether or not any company is still around. That's only possible when the code is static and lives with you, not routed through someone else's server.

How it works

BestQR runs entirely in your browser. When you type a link or contact and style your code, all of that rendering happens on your device — nothing is uploaded, and we never see what you create.

Your saved codes live in your browser's local storage, so your library is private to you. Export anything as a crisp PNG or infinitely-scalable SVG, add your logo, pick your colors, and you're done. No catch, no watermark, no account.

What we stand for

A few principles guide every decision we make about BestQR.

Privacy by default

Your data never leaves your device. We collect nothing, track nothing, and have nothing to sell — because that's how it should be.

Genuinely free

No trials, no "pro" upsells gating the essentials, no watermark on your codes. Free means free, for personal and commercial use alike.

Codes that last

Every code is static, so it keeps working forever — no expiring links, no dependency on us staying online to function.

Simple & fast

A clean interface that does one thing well. Pick a type, style it, download — in seconds, with no clutter in the way.

Make your first code

It's free, private, and takes about ten seconds. No sign-up required — just start creating.
