Why it matters

Get customers to your door in one scan

Typing an address into Maps is fiddly and easy to get wrong. A QR code opens your exact location and turn-by-turn directions instantly — point, scan, go.

  • One scan, instant directions — the code opens your pin in the Google Maps app or browser, ready to navigate.
  • Works everywhere — storefront windows, flyers, business cards, packaging, menus, invoices and event signage.
  • No wrong turns — customers reach the right entrance instead of a mistyped address across town.
  • Tip: use your Business Profile link — so scans can also see your hours, photos and reviews.

FAQ

Google Maps QR codes, explained

How do I make a QR code for my Google Maps location?

Paste your Maps link in the generator above — or simply type your business name or address. The code is created instantly and opens your location. Style the colors, shapes and center icon if you like, then download it as PNG or SVG.

Where do I get my Google Maps link?

In Google Maps, search your place, tap "Share", and copy the link. On desktop, click the place, then "Share" → "Copy link". Paste that link here — short goo.gl and maps.app.goo.gl links work too.

Can I use an address or coordinates instead of a link?

Yes. Type a full address (e.g. "1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View") or latitude, longitude coordinates (e.g. "37.4220,-122.0841") and the code will open a Maps search for that exact spot.

Will the code open directions automatically?

Scanning opens your location in Google Maps, where the "Directions" button is one tap away. If you paste a Maps directions link, it can even open with the route pre-loaded.

Is this Google Maps QR code generator really free?

Yes — completely. No sign-up, no watermark, no scan limits and no expiry on the code. You can create and download as many as you want, for personal or commercial use.

What happens when someone scans the code?

Their phone opens your location — in the Google Maps app if it's installed, otherwise in the browser. From there they can navigate, save the place, call you or read reviews.

Can I use my own logo instead of the map pin?

Yes. In the Center icon control, choose the upload option and add a PNG or SVG of your logo — transparent backgrounds look best. The generator automatically raises the error-correction level so the code stays reliably scannable.

PNG or SVG — which should I download?

PNG (2048px) is perfect for screens, social and most everyday prints. SVG is a vector file that stays perfectly sharp at any size — choose it for storefront decals, posters, signage or professional printing.
