Have a QR code as an image or screenshot? Drop it in and read exactly what it holds — a link, WiFi, a contact or plain text. Everything is decoded on your device, so your files never leave your computer.

Your image

Files are read locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.

FAQ

Decoding images, explained

What image formats can I decode?

Any common image your browser can open — PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and more. Screenshots work perfectly.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read locally in your browser and decoded on your device — it never leaves your computer.

It says no code was found — why?

The code may be blurry, cropped, angled or too small in the picture. Crop tightly around the QR code, use a sharper image, and make sure the whole code is visible.

Can I decode a code inside a photo or poster?

Yes, as long as the code is reasonably clear and flat-on. If it fails, crop the photo so the code fills most of the frame and try again.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes — upload from your camera roll or take a photo. To scan a code in front of you live, use the Scanner instead.
