Why it matters

No more spelling out your password

"What's the WiFi?" is the most-asked question in every café, office and rental. A QR code answers it once — guests scan and they're online.

  • One scan to connect — phones join the network automatically, no typing long, tricky passwords.
  • Private by design — the code is built entirely in your browser; your password is never uploaded anywhere.
  • Perfect for guests — great for a guest network so visitors get online without your main password.
  • Works on iPhone & Android — both scan WiFi codes natively, right from the camera.

FAQ

WiFi QR codes, explained

How do I make a QR code for my WiFi?

Type your network name and password in the generator above and choose the security type. The code is created instantly. Style the colors, shapes and center icon if you like, then download it as PNG or SVG and print it.

How do guests connect with the code?

They open the camera on their phone and point it at the code — a "Join Network" prompt appears, they tap it, and they're connected. No password typing needed. Both iPhone and Android support this natively.

Is my WiFi password safe?

Yes. The entire code is generated in your browser — your network name and password are never sent to a server or stored anywhere. Anyone who scans the printed code can join, so display it only where you'd happily share the password.

Which security type should I pick?

Almost all modern routers use WPA/WPA2 — that's the default and the right choice for most people. Use WEP only for very old equipment, and None for an open network with no password.

What is a "hidden network"?

Some routers don't broadcast their name, so it won't appear in the list of available networks. If yours is set up this way, tick the "Hidden network" box so scanning phones know to look for it.

Does the code still work if I change my password?

No — the password is baked into the code. If you change your WiFi password, just generate and print a fresh code here. It takes only a few seconds.

Can I add my own logo?

Yes. In the Center icon control, choose the upload option and add a PNG or SVG of your logo — transparent backgrounds look best. The generator automatically raises the error-correction level so the code stays reliably scannable.

PNG or SVG — which should I download?

PNG (2048px) is perfect for screens and most everyday prints like table tents and cards. SVG is a vector file that stays perfectly sharp at any size — choose it for large signs, window decals or professional printing.

Ready to stop spelling out your password?

Your WiFi QR code takes about ten seconds — and it's completely free.
